Hospital completes projects with internally-generated funds | 14th February, 2018

The Eastern Regional Hospital in Koforidua has through its own internally-generated funds completed a number of projects to raise the quality of care.

 
These include the construction of a new oxygen plant, refurbishment of the emergency centre, block paving and building of a canteen.
 
On hand, to inaugurate the projects was the Regional Minister, Mr. Eric Kwakye Darfour, who applauded the management of the facility for the initiative.
 
He said the expectation was that it would continue to show transparency in the running of the facility, work hard and with renewed energy to improve revenue generation performance.
 
He called for increased public support - to assist make the facility a centre of excellence.
 
He offered to help the hospital’s canteen to serve vegetarian dishes so that vegetarians in Koforidua would have a place to eat.
 
Dr. Kwame Anim Boamah, Director of the hospital, reminded all to work together to keep the environment clean.
 
That, he said, was the way to go to prevent diseases and help the population to stay healthy.
 
Dr. Boamah added that accepting to do the very simple things – maintaining good personal hygiene and clean surroundings, they could significantly reduce medical bills.
