Minister of Health, Kwaku Agyeman Manu has indicated that the Sang Health Centre in the Mion constituency has been earmarked to be upgraded into district hospital.

 

According to the Minister, it is government policy to provide every district with a district hospital as the first referral point.

 

The district has been marked as the 9 th in the Northern Region to be provided with a new district hospital and has been captured in the Ministrys Capital Investment plan.

And assured the House that construction would commence as soon as funds are secured.

 

He made the disclosure when the Member of Parliament for Mion, Mohamed Abdul-Aziz enquired from the Minister when the Sang Health Centre would be upgraded to a District Hospital.
