Thirty-seven babies - 22 males and 15 females- were delivered at the LA General Hospital in Accra during the Easter festivities, from Friday, March 30 (Good Friday) to April 2 (Easter Monday).
Madam Sarah Okpoti, the Senior Midwife at the Labour Ward, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that 13 babies were delivered on Good Friday, 11 on Holy Saturday, six on Easter Sunday and seven on Easter Monday.
She said eight out of the 37 babies were delivered by caesarean section, while the other 29 were delivered spontaneously.
Madam Okpoti said the babies and their mothers were in good health.
